1. Who we are
Interviq ("we", "us", "our") operates the Interviq AI mock interview platform. For the purposes of applicable data protection laws, Interviq is the data controller of the personal data we process about you.
2. Personal data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, login credentials.
- Profile and resume data: resume content and job descriptions you upload.
- Interview data: transcripts, answers, scores, and feedback generated during sessions. We do not store video recordings.
- Usage and telemetry: pages visited, features used, interview minutes consumed, device and browser identifiers, IP address.
- Support messages: communications you send us.
3. Why we use your data and legal basis
- Provide the service (contract): create your account, run interview sessions, score answers, deliver reports.
- Security and fraud prevention (legitimate interests): detect abuse, protect users.
- Product improvement (legitimate interests): analyze aggregated usage to improve features and scoring.
- Customer support (contract / legitimate interests): respond to your requests.
- Legal compliance (legal obligation): meet tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements.
4. Who we share data with
- Service providers / subprocessors: cloud hosting, database, AI model providers, video infrastructure (Tavus), analytics, and support tooling — strictly to operate the service.
- Merchant of Record (Paddle): Paddle.com Market Limited acts as our reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles checkout, payments, subscription management, tax compliance, invoicing, and refund processing. See Paddle's Privacy Notice.
- Professional advisers: legal and accounting advisers under confidentiality obligations.
- Authorities: where required by law or to protect our rights.
5. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
6. Data retention
We retain account, resume, and interview data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period after to handle disputes, support legal claims, and meet our obligations. We then delete or anonymise it when no longer needed.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. UK/EEA users have rights under the UK GDPR / GDPR including the right to lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority. We respond to requests within one month.
8. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege practices to protect your personal data.
9. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the service, plus limited analytics cookies to understand usage. You can manage cookies via your browser settings.
